On the Ground (ongoing)

Every day, I go for a walk around my town, often with a camera and/or dogs in tow. Each time I go out, there is always something that catches my eye on the ground, be it a roadkill raccoon, fast food wrapper, liquor bottles, or articles of clothing. I’ve long been known to pull over or stop traffic to get out and photograph a dead animal on the pavement, but have only recently begun photographing inorganic material roadside after a particularly eventful neighborhood walk one evening. Thus prompting the ongoing work, “On the Ground,” in which I plan to photograph the article on the ground, accompanied by an image of the sky or otherwise above it.
