Lauren Cox is an artist and photographer based outside of Buffalo, New York. Born in Southern California and raised in Western New York, she considers herself fortunate to have had experiences in various regions across the country that have shaped her worldview and artistic interests. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design at SUNY Buffalo State College and will graduate in May of 2021.

Most interested in documentary photography, her work explores the relationship between community, the individual, and the mundane. When not creating visual art, Lauren can be found writing short fiction, choreographing works of modern dance, or working on community engagement initiatives.
