Kill-n-Grill

Comprehensive event rebrand of the annual Pocahontas County Autumn Harvest Festival and Roadkill Cook-off.

Each autumn, Pocahontas County, West Virginia hosts its annual harvest festival and roadkill cook-off. The festival attracts locals and tourists alike, and has brought the small West Virginia county some national attention. The new name, “Kill-N-Grill,” focuses on the roadkill cook-off aspect of the festival. The bold, sketchy, imperfect, and playful qualities of the design reflect the gritty, hardcore nature of the event.

An uncomplicated black and white color scheme keeps the logo legible and recognizable. Coupled with rough road texture and tire treads, the limited color palette and bold typography used throughout the event collateral are consistent with the rugged and textural quality of the logo. This rebrand is successful in attracting the adventurous individual or family looking to attend a harvest with a little more flare than your average fall festival.
